RATCAP: Advanced Neuronal Imaging of an awake, freely moving animal:

The RATCAP gurney is a “O” Bouyance traveler that does not impede the animal’s movement. It can be modified to match the architecture of varying neuronal studies—e.g., varying Skinner boxes. The non-invasive “Cap” is held in place by a magnetic plate secured to the skull of the rat. Accommodation of the animal to homeostasis takes place in about 20 minutes. The RATCAP enables experiments so that regional neuro-chemical data obtained by PET imaging is correlated with behavioral data.
